Self Love Project 2018 | Day 21

Living for Days Like This

Snuggled up on the couch watching the snow fall, my husband and I peek outside the window while it blankets the streets, creating the purest white landscape one could only imagine.

The fragrance of aloo gobi fills the room, while the humming from the washing machine pairs with the dialogue of the movie playing on Netflix.  It all sounds like white noise to the baby and the pups as they sleep.

The only thing missing from this perfect Sunday is a cup of chai tea.  I think I’ll put some water on the stove now.

I live for days like this, days where the laundry gets done, dinner is cooked, and we are forced to stay still because the wind combined with the snow just won’t let us be great.

And when days, or even moments, get hard and we aren’t seeing eye to eye I’ll remind myself of these times and be at peace.

When I can just relax with my family and create memories of just being there for one another, these are the moments worth living for.  I choose to see my family as a gift.

The Gift that Keeps On Giving

I know self love is definitely about loving yourself FIRST, but there is no way I can keep all this love to myself.  It’s almost like it’s bursting at the seams and oozing from my pores – I can’t give it away as fast as it’s growing inside!

I’m loving all on my family today and it feels sooooo good.  It makes me happy to see them happy, and they make me happy just being who they are.  Love – it’s the gift that keeps on giving.

Self Care

Today has been full of self care!  The ultimate act was being able to style my hair for the upcoming week.
